Our story

It started with a laboratory and a waiting-room problem

Juniper Gate opened in 2016 as a diagnostic laboratory on Aminu Kano Crescent. Patients kept bringing us the same frustration: their tests were done quickly, then they waited weeks to see a specialist who could explain the results.

So we invited consultants to hold clinics in our building on fixed days, with booked appointments and the laboratory one floor away. Cardiology and gynaecology came first. Today eight specialties rotate through the centre each week, supported by resident medical officers, nurses and a full imaging suite.

Our patients include civil servants, business owners, families from Maitama to Lokogoma, and the staff of 65 organisations. What they have in common is a need for care that is thorough, punctual and properly documented.

From the Centre Director

An appointment time should mean something

Most people in Abuja have a story about waiting four hours for a doctor who arrived late, then being sent elsewhere for a scan. We built our systems so that story does not happen here: confirmed slots, consultants on published days and diagnostics in the same building.

My role is to make sure the centre runs the way our patients and corporate clients expect, from how quickly the booking team responds to how clearly an invoice is itemised. Clinical decisions belong to our doctors. Everything around them, from punctuality to privacy, is my responsibility.

If we fall short of that standard, I want to hear about it. Ask the front desk and they will arrange a call with me directly.

Our standards

What we hold ourselves to

Punctuality

Clinics start at the published time, and we tell you before you set out if anything changes.

Clear documentation

Every visit ends with a written summary, results and next steps you can share with your HMO or employer.

Discretion

Executive, diplomatic and corporate patients are seen privately, and records are protected under the Nigeria Data Protection Act.

Itemised billing

Costs are agreed before tests are done, and every invoice lists exactly what was provided.
